A play that mixes 1 Potato Queen, 1 Polish Mother & 1 Canned Polka Band into a hearty comic stew!
You are the guests at Norma Green’s (it used to be Grentowski) wedding. She is the Polish Princess from the Potato Capital of Ontario, the nice girl you’d love to marry who hasn’t gotten married yet, and the only bride without a date for her own party. But on the happiest day of her life, the ex-cheerleader loses her man, finds her pom-poms, reveals secret Polish recipes and throws one hell of a party!
All the way from Toronto, “personable… high-wattage… very funny” (Globe & Mail)
Anne Marie Scheffler “offers a blend of charm and talent” and “creates touching moments in the midst of the comedy” (Now Magazine) with her one woman hit show Situation: NORMA.
“Not to be missed!” (Theatrum).
“Written and performed by Canadian actress Anne Marie Scheffler, this monologue is a delight, mainly because Scheffler is too. A perky blond, she pokes fun at her own cheerleader image and bubble-brained logic with pinpoint precision- so much that it takes a long time to realize the intelligence under her Barbie-doll exterior. She’s like a young Betty White- another actress who’s a lot smarter than the character she plays. If I had time I’d see it again.” (Judith Green, San Jose Mercury News).
Written and performed by Anne Marie Scheffler
Directed by Sarah Sked, Debbie Tidy. Running time: 50 minutes.

Second City Alumnus, creator of the fringe-famous Norma Trilogy presents an autobiographical comedy about doing a triathlon before a milestone birthday, and how it compares to dating! Reviewing her previous dates, Scheffler sees that she has already been in training for a marathon relationship!
Scouted twice by HBO, she’s “blond, buoyant and full of fire!” (Now Magazine) and “wonderfully inventive and hysterically funny!” (Edmonton Journal)
Written and performed by Anne Marie Scheffler
Directed by Carol Lempert. Running time: 50 minutes.

A Paranoid whodunit for the completely insecure!
Norma Green is on the scene again! But this time she’s single! Steve left the Polish Princess from the Potato Capital of Ontario at the altar a year ago, but this ex-cheerleader has not lost her spirit! But she has this terrible feeling that someone is trying to kill her- and she doesn’t think that’s very nice! Watch Norma daringly defy death, as she re-enacts the attempts on her life- Norma style!
“It’s a fleshy, well-acted portrayal of an emotionally beaten up character who’d be pathetic if she weren’t so irrepressible.” (Jim Slotek, Toronto Sun)
“Anne Marie Scheffler’s Watch… NORMA’s Back! reveals an acting and writing talent that’s grown since Norma first appeared several years ago.” (Jon Kaplan, NOW Magazine)
“Personable… high-wattage… very funny” (Globe & Mail)
